“The sound of the singing bowl is the sound of the Void” – Karmapa
From the Himalayan region, these instruments are made primarily by Tibetan monks hand hammered out of an alchemical combination of different metals that create different tones.
Because of their ‘empty’ nature and spacious overtones, the sound of these bowls is perceived as a teaching about expansiveness and emptiness. They can be played on the body carrying the vibration directly into the body tissues.
Uses in our sessions: deep states of relaxation and calmness, balance, release and transformation.
